Hello dear friends. I miss you guys!

Sorry things have been so quiet around here. I've been feeling a little on the quiet side. Seems like i took a bit of an unexpected blog and crafty break. Well, after today, i think it is safe to say that i'm finding my blogging and crafty mojo again. Tell me this is normal... that sometimes we just kinda fall into a slump.

The hightlight of my week so far would definitely be these new little cards that i've received from the local print shop. These little cards will now adore and mail along with all my packages.

it's true what they say about friendship

Look how spoiled i've been lately when it comes to one of my favorite things: Mail. The other day my friend, Nia, sent me this surprise package filled with amazing goodies from Portugal! Whatever i did before i entered the world of blog land with incredible amazing blog friends, it most certainly didn't involve as many surprise packages! Thank you sooo much sweet Nia!

I think i have made it through the roughest part of this nasty cold/flu situation. My weekend was merely getting alot of rest, tea, feeling better and very non-productive. Sweet relief.

On the mend...

This week went by in a blur. I guess some weeks just do that.

I'm feeling much better, my daily dose of self-prescribed medication seems to be helping together with lots of tea. Boy am i sooo happy to know that weekend is just right around the conner. I could really use alot of rest, comfort food and more tea!

If i had more brain power, i would love to send a note to every single one of you who send me such kind words and love during my sick days. Each and every comment made me smile and warm my heart. Thank you sooo much friends!

Sick again with bunny and a lady bug

Don't really know how it came to be Wednesday so quickly. Either way, i'm still here and feeling a little on the quiet side today.

I don't know how i managed to get sick (again), but i am down for the countless time of this nasty cold/flu situation. Being sick is just not soo fun. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my self-prescribed medication combination with tea but minis many long naps and rest will contribute to some form of recovery.

On a different subject entirely, i can't resist posting photos of the finished custom order. I really enjoyed creating this special little one.

Make it a double

Hello friends. Today feels like a blur. Some Mondays just do that. Give me a double dose of espresso please.

Sorry for checking out for a bit here, i did, however, get a little distracted. So distracted, that i'm posting now for the first time since last Wednesday. The weekend went by too fast. I hope it treated you well. Honestly, it's been nice to take the time to read a book, watch a couple of movies and just relax a bit after a hectic week.

 

I finally found time to sit at my creative space and get crafty. It was the first day i sat down and sewed on my fantastic, works like magic sewing machine since the day i took it home. I also managed to squeeze in time for a custom order for "I love my home bunny key pouch". With any luck, i hope to have this special order key pouch done by tomorrow. We'll see how i do with deadlines.

I'll be back soon with some new sewing projects. I think my motivation to sew might be returning. I feel like i've been in a sewing slump for a while now. Maybe my desire to sew this weekend had to do with sewing while listening to good music?

Keeping it short and sweet....

I hope your week is shaping up nicely. Mine seems to be crammed full of workshop, reading, homework and more workshop at my day job. I even managed to squeeze in time for food and some craft work somewhere in there too. I'm not a huge fan of days like these, i prefer my days to be slow and easy but i guess sometimes slow is just no where to be found. I'm guessing i'm not alone here.

The above photo is taken from an advertisement that little Reymi did for this product Agnesia Nappy Powder making it's way in the local baby magazines. So proud of my little baby nephew!

Hello june...

Don't really know how it came to be Monday so quickly. Hope your weekend was nice. And i do want to pop in to wish you a good start to your week and to show you some snaps from my weekend.

a piece of cake for my sweetheart, Kim! His birthday was on saturday and i sang him a little song via Skype

a visit to a craft shop at my dad's little town...lots of goodies inside (owner didn't allow me to take any photos inside eventho i asked politely)

Also i'm very proud to say that my hand is fully recover. Thank you so much for all the love you sent my way. It melt my heart. Yippee, im so looking forward to embark on a week of hunched shoulders to do some sewing and scheming! A good long stretch (and some deep breathing) will do wonders. Happy first week of June friends! Lots of love to you and yours! *hugz tight*

finally getting around to...

finishing cutting my 12 blocks quilt patterns!

Seems like it has taken me forever to finally do it, but as I type this, my little white basket is filled up with all my block patterns sitting neatly on my creative work table.  :) I'm in for quite a treat in my next quilt class which i have yet to make a schedule for it. I'll report back on my adventures in my quilting as i progress.

I also started designing Sandy's wedding gifts and almost done with my list making for new fun items to make. I managed to come up with a few things that might be a good start. I'm committed to keep everything wedding and making new items related fun and relaxed.

that girl and her new Bernina

After spending the morning going through and getting all my class photos, i started missing sewing and playing with my new sewing machine.

The story started 2 weeks ago when i took my little compact sewing machine to class. That was when my lovely quilt teacher broke the sad news to me that my little one wouldn't be able to handle any heavy duty sewing and this included quilting. It was either to get a "real" sewing machine or hand quilting. I've always know that i will want to buy a "real" machine some day and after a discussion with my love, Kim, we decided to order my very own bobbin a bobbin and peddle a peddle!

And so that's the story, friends.

I am SO happy with my Bernina! This machine is so slick and smooth! It doesn't only have a lot of fun functional stitches including embroidery stitches, but it has an automatic needle threader! Yippee! I had spent my third quilting class getting acquainted with this snazzy machine. I made sure i get familiar with the basics such as attaching the presser footer holder, winding and inserting the bobbin, threading the bobbin and upper thread, securing a seam and feed the dog! My teacher also taught me how to do simple trouble shooting and getting the feel of it with sewing all the different stitches. It was indeed another good day at class. Yep, i really have no complaints! :)

I wanted also to say thank YOU for all the super kind and supportive comments sent my way on my last post! Once again, i'm in awe of how amazing the creative community is ~ it really astounds me but most of all it reaffirms for me that people are mostly good, kind and supportive of one another. That is really important to me. Thank you so much for that!
