I couldn't decide which photo to post today, so i picked the above. Kim and i are planning to see the long-awaited Mr. Burton's Alice. I've been carefully avoiding reviews and reserving judgment till i see it for myself.
In case you are wondering whether i forgot that I'm getting married, i did not, i promise. I realize the engagement was announced over the holidays and i've been as quiet as a mouse about it ever since. Well, we're thinking of either year end or beginning of next year for the wedding. Hoping that it will allow us to have a snail's pace with time to prepare, at least i hope it is. Since Kim will be leaving for Germany soon in a month or so, we have plans with hopes of getting a few things squared away soon.
I'm also quietly working on several wedding projects with dear friend, Afi. And with a few logistics confirmed,i'm looking forward to window dressing with Kim over the weekend!
Whatever you have planned, i hope you enjoy yourself and have a fabulous weekend. Lots of love to you and yours!

Forget the review and just enjoy the movie. :)
Have a fabulous weekend and lots of love to you and yours too.

Have fun seeing Alice, Jacqueline! We can't wait to see it too. Like you & Kim, we've been not reading the reviews and listening to chatter about the film. It's Tim Burton--it has to be good--LOL! LOVE your little bit of Alice magic here today...that cushion and pins-sooo sweet, sticky sweet! ;o) Happy Weekend, my friend ((BIG HUG))

My seven tear old saw Alics and loved it (except for the part where she "walks on dead people's heads" ?!)
Looks like a visual treat either way.

We have not seen the movie yet, we usually wait until it comes out on DVD or Bluray before we watch it. I am sure that it will be magical and worth the wait! Where did you get those sweet Alice in Wonderland pins, I must know! Love them. Have a wonderful weekend and much love to you and yours!

Have a great time at the movie. I am really excited to see it although we have not set time aside and it looks like will not have free time until the end of the month! I wrote a review about TB's NYC show. Have fun.

Jacqueline, I am loving this picture so much and the depth of field. I've been curious about hearing of the upcoming wedding plans too and I hope everything goes swimmingly.I'm also excited about seeing the new Alice movie too and I've been careful to avoid the reviews - I want to judge it for myself first and in general I am always intrigued by the strange and haunting beauty of Mr. Burton's work:)

Oh yes, my husband and I have yet to see the new Alice as well...I'm excited and not excited at the same time - so weird! And I have to say, there never seems to be enough time to plan for a wedding, so I don't think you have to rush... :) Have fun!

Cute pins!
I agree, just ignore the reviews and judgement the movie based on how you feel. Hope it's good!

Hi Jacqueline! Sounds like a good idea to have time to plan and enjoy it. Most people have little time and end up stressed out when the big day arrives. Have a great week!

Hi Jacqueline, what a gorgeous and unique picture! I love the pins! What did you think of the movie? I've been looking fwd to it for ages, and saw it yesterday. I really enjoyed it and delighted in the visuals. But I wished that there could have been more wit and word play like in the books. Wini xo

I didn't see it yet. Hopefully I'll go tonight. I've been excited to see it, and like yourself trying to avoid what others say, so I can judge myself.
