I finished my first big new project, the new "Let's enjoy" iCase for your iPhone. And by big i mean something that i made for my very first exhibition invite - Polka Dot Exhibition. It was a fairly simple project once i got going, but it took what seemed like forever to come out with something new, refreshing and unique for the exhibition.
Here are a few shots of a new iCase series to come.
By now, you have probably figured out i have a thing for working with lots of color, dots and laces. The iCase piece above could most definitely be called bright, colorful and celebrating the joy of photography. I made it a little distressed look and feel ~ in hopes that it gives the appearance a feel of being antique.
I added the "SoCuteItHurts" button for flair and finished the lens in blue with white dots handmade trim just because.
Does this make me want to own an iPhone? Oh yes, i wouldn't denied it but first there's more important things ahead like saving up for my vacation to visit the Mister in Hamburg. I guess the iPhone will have to wait for now.
One of these days i am going to make up a bunch of these iCases for the shop. But first, i must finish some custom orders and 2 new projects. I think i am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel in that department, though it's just a glimmer.
In case you are curious, these are vintage film canisters gifted by a sweet photographer friend, foi. I love these to bits! These would make lovely packaging for something small and cute ~ a new project idea for me!
