Pay it forward (PIF) ~ honestly, i have never and this will be my frist time. Before i officially give you the play by play on my PIF, i wanted to share a little more with you.

I had such a fantastic day, well, actually, days reading your wonderful e-birthday wishes, dear friends! You guys are too sweet and as silly as it may sound; you guys made me teary ~ in a really good way. Yes indeed. Hope you had a good weekend. Mine was perfect since i'm a huge nester that relished my time at home. It felt so wonderful to be home sleeping till late morning, lots of comfort food and crafting in my leisure.

Now back to some exciting news in this lovely month of October ~ PIF story. Lovely Pauline is one of my BYW friends ~ owner of this gorgeous bubble space mufn inc. A while back she hosted a PIF, and i jumped for it. I have never participated in a PIF and the idea of it just thrills me. It's unbelievable, and this amazing package arrived on my doorstep recently. Thanks for your overwhelming generosity, Pauline. I love each and every thing you sent.

The parcel included a set of her beautiful hand drawn cards and a very dainty pair if handmade flower hair clips (she read on my bubble space that i adored hair clips). Pretty fantastic, wouldn't you say? I would. I'm over the moon.

So, for one of my many lined up special surprises i've prepared especially for you on this lovely month of October (yes i am working on a list of surprises for you) i'm passing on this lovely PIF! Here are the rules:

The special PIF gifts will be handmade by me. I can't guarantee that you will like it but i can guarantee that they will be made with lots of love. Currently, i have my plate full of projects, but i hope to make these lovely gifts in time for Christmas ~ please be patience with me. Hiee there lovely friends!

Hope you had a great weekend and some of you a good long one indeed. My weekend has been lovely, very lazy and productive ~~ i know that sounds ridiculous but it's true. It has been one of those weekends made up of getting some things done as well as taking lots of lazy breaks with refreshments and comfort food.

Mr. postman made a quick stop by my house the other day and dropped off my brand new custom made tape! It's tiny, but perfect. I'm one of those people who loves tapes ~~ i even love saying it ~~ t-a-p-es. Boy am i going to make some handmade items with these cute tape!

it's true what they say about friendship

Look how spoiled i've been lately when it comes to one of my favorite things: Mail. The other day my friend, Nia, sent me this surprise package filled with amazing goodies from Portugal! Whatever i did before i entered the world of blog land with incredible amazing blog friends, it most certainly didn't involve as many surprise packages! Thank you sooo much sweet Nia!

Grateful...

for all the little things that bring joy and inspiration to my life.

A nice wonderfully lazy weekend has come to an end. It was loads of fun on Saturday at my quilting class (more about it soon in the coming days) and a restful quiet Sunday spent on napping and an evening shopping at Ikea with my sister, Wendy.

I did want to share this superb surprised that came along in my mail last week. A long while ago, i found out from a friend, AnnLuise, that her 10 year old daughter, Shawna, visits me on my little bubble space. Sweet Shawna is really interested to try to make something cute herself and it brings me endless joy and smile knowing that she watched and tried to read my little dairy here on my bubble space.

It feels so magical when i am able to inspire and touch someone's life out there. :) Knowing that there's a little cute creative spirit out there waiting to explore the creativity in her, i mailed her a little surprise gift as a form of encouragement to her and hoping she will continue to explore her creativity. A cute japanese paper craft book that i found at my favorite bookstore along with some really cute letter writing set were sent to her along with lots of love.

There's nothing better than receiving a thank you and appreciation letter in my mailbox. And connecting with Shawna is another reason i love what i do.

If i haven't told you already, everything created and shared here at So Cute It Hurts are made and written along to you with love and i can't tell you enough how thankful i am to be able to start paving my creative dream with you. And you should also know that i can't thank YOU enough for the love and support that you offer me and my creative journey. You guys are just soooo sweet!

Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain

Hello...

Hope you had a sweet weekend. I did all sorts of things I wanted to do, things including of watching a couple of movies, a few hours of hunched shoulders and hand stitching, sipping on warm sweet fine Chinese tea, and naps. I do feel alot better now...thank you so much for all the love you sent my way!

I would love to introuduce you to a friend.

If you don't know Mai, you should drop by her blog and take a look around. She's quite a sweet lady. I always enjoy her lovely posts, which happen to be full of  beautiful handmade tutorials, embroidery and her beautiful city, Yokohama. A while back i contacted her about doing a little handmade goodies swap, and  she said YES! Obviously I jumped for joy! I had only recently found her blog and had taken to visiting daily. I think I was hooked when she posted gorgeous photos of her tutorials, embroidery and her weekend walks around her beautiful city. You know I have a lot of love for the things in Japan.  Take a look at all the fantastic goodies she sent me (all the way from Yokohama). I LOVE having a friend in Yokohama...

Thanks for your overwhelming generosity, Mai.  I love each and everything you sent. I'll try to finish up your surprise goodies and have them mail out hopefully by this week!

Perfectly wrapped...even her packing material was unique and wonderful! Silly as it may sounds, i actually kept it unopened for 2 days, wanted to just admire the package a little bit longer.

I must admit thought i am a HUGE fan of her sashiko embroidery pocket tote bag...and she made me this very special tote bag! I cannot express the love and overwhelming happiness i felt and still feel as i write this.

 Such pretty colors and delicate embroidery.

 There were just so many delightful little details to appreciate.

I can't believe she also made me a Haniwa plushy in it's dancing position! My new found friend nows sits on my desk at my creative space keeping me company.

And her handmade bias tape....gosh they are just sooo pretty! Pretty fantastic, wouldn't you say?  I would. I'm over the moon! I hope my handmade surprise goodness bring her as much excitement and joy when she receive my package. *cross my fingers*

Isn't friendship just the hardest thing in the world to explain? I feel so lucky to meet each and everyone of you from all over the world. Thank you for your friendship...thank you for taking time, time to stop and take an interest in me. *hugz*

bits of my week

Once again, I spent numerous hours making a mess in my creative work space. Finishing this Pickle the piglet onesie for a dear creative friend. This little one is inspired by little Reymi born in the year of Peggi in the Chinese zodiac. Started to work on another order with a couple of LOVE elephants cozy coasters and a little cute I heart chibi Penelo the bunny pink onesie.
 

I might be alone here, but I'm okay admitting I have a pretty huge obsession with mail. I don't remember when my 'mail thing' started, but I'm completely and totally obsessed. It isn't about simply getting mail goodness either, although that's excellent and very exciting, it's about checking the mail, packaging, putting the mail out, visiting the post office, having nice stamps on hand (for mailing things), etcetera. I'm not too embarrassed because I figure as far as obsessions go, this one is totally harmless. I don't see it escalating into any thing remotely serious, at least I can't think of what that might be just yet.

This is my new lovely empty heart charm locket which i picked up from Lori. The "color me spring" chams of little flowers, letters K and J, and hearts are specially made for me by one of my dearest friend Afi. I'm so in love, excited and thrill with how well they look together! It goes without saying that i know how important it is to support other artisans. I plan to share with you some creations I own and LOVE more in the future posts.
