Sorry i've been very sporadic with my posts lately. I was soaking up on all the nice feelings that came from all rest and no late-nights work week before the father's day weekend. 

I hope your weekend was full of good times. Mine was filled with serious cleaning and organizing ~ i'm still trying to get my little studio space set up. The space is quite sunny and pretty spacious, which will keep me sane since i spend so much time in there.

I finally painstakingly put together a 3-tier white bookcase with my new mini craft hammer. A little cozy place for my books and it sits happily right next to my little sewing table.

It was really good to finally un-box my books and realized that i have quite a few prints waiting to be framed and up on the wall. Not sure why this sort of thing always takes so long. Is it just me or is this a common occurrence? 

I'm settling in nicely and love my little corner(s). Here's also a little glimpse of what's sitting on my sewing table. A portion of my inspiration board. It's just a regular magnetic board with various letters, photographs, clippings, cards, drawings and widgets that inspire me on a daily basis ~ things that have come to me in many different ways which i've decided to hang on to ~ special things.

I made a trip to the nursery yesterday and left with ordering a lavender plant. Can't wait for it to arrive and have it perch in my little creative space.

But in case you missed it, i'm pleased as punch that my little Leica M6 inspired camera/film roll cozy in shades of black/pink made it's appearance on frankie Magazine's latest issue 41!

I am very honored to be part of frankie’s line-up because they publish gorgeous articles and do a great job promoting their authors. But first, i’m embarrassed to make this confession ~ i had never heard of this magazine before. I am so grateful that this has changed because frankie Magazine is my current obsession.

This magazine is my happy place because it embraces what i believe in ~ sharing ideas and inspiration.

I've always found inspiration and solace in hearing other people share their stories and experience in traveling a similar creative path and in life.

The illustrations and the photos made my heart leap and i’ve referred to it a number of times already in the past 24 hours since receiving it ~ it’s so darling.

Cotton candy.Cotton time

I'm sorry that it has been pretty quiet with my Cotton candy. Cotton time column. Not because i want it to be, but because i was going through a little rough time and i felt like i've lost my way. I am so glad im back on track and back to focus.

 
I'm so excited to share this month's issue of Cotton Time, a wonderful magazine that deals with everything about creativity from fashion to crafts and even decorating/design. I absolutely feel positively smitten flipping-through the pages of not only wonderful projects but gorgeous photography! If you want a super inspiring, beautiful magazine filled with holiday crafts and projects ~ then this month's Cotton Time is for you! I can't wait to try out a few projects and ideas. Yay!

There is nothing about it that i do not find sweet, lovely and charming. The primary focus is to promote and inspire creativity. It's ALL good.

I'm feeling VERY creative lately, i think it's due to the friends i've made here in blog-land and being around so many ladies who are so into all things handmade, it's absolutely inspiring. All of you are making something by hand and i find it very motivating. I really am loving life in this city of brotherly love, it's not perfect but i'm satisfied with what i have and the things i've been exposed to. Simply wonderful!

Last month, i received my copy of Cotton Time July issue and totally forgot to post about them ~ so this post is long overdue. And no ~ in case you're wondering ~ i didn't forget about my "Cotton Candy. Cotton Time" column. You can usually find me curled up with the latest issue of Cotton Time magazine and a cup of yummie black coffee every bimonthly because this is when my crisp copy would have arrived.

This magazine has been fueling my creativity. I couldn't help but long for a dose of editors' cravings, scouting, and to see what are the heaps and ins at the crafting/sewing world since last issue. This wonderful magazine featured a passionate collection of work from different artists, it's inspirational with lots of project ideas, fabulous patterns and gorgeous eye candy if you are into dollie lace, fabrics, embroidery, dresses, bags, and many more!

Yup, this is the surprise I promised last Friday!

I'm so happy i received my order of this brand new copy of Cotton Time Magazine May 09 over the weekend! I had to make a special order with one of the local bookstore here since these magazines were out of stock. I'm just so glad it all worked out as i planned it.

I hope i did surprise you. >_< I want to give you a little something after hearing all your comments on the launch of my brand new column "Cotton candy.Cotton time". It is also a token of my appreciation to you for taking time, time to stop and take an interest in me and to say thank you for what you have done to inspire me.

I'm here...

Although it probaly seems as though i have fallen into a rabbit hole, i promise i have not ~ things are rather hectic at day job since Monday with lots of internal trainning and issues to tackle. Can you tell i'm already looking forward to friday? Geez. I suppose i notice when friday comes around more than any other day. I wonder why?

The weekend was wonderfully lazy and i did find time to visit one of my favorite bookstore. Confession: "My name is Jacqueline and I am addicted to books and magazines".

I got swept up with excitement for finding this magazine, Stitch idees. One of the many books and magazines published by Heart warming life series. It is all about embroidery! I like that the magazine is only produced quarterly.

The "How to make" tutorials are uncomplicated with an attention to details with pretty little drawings. Lots of cuteness and many wonderful spring/summer ideas and inspiration to discover for your own creations.

I especially enjoyed their favorites spotlighted crafters studios, kitchens, livings, favorite things and books! Such a functional item with value. Beautiful! Please take good care especially now with the swine flu out there. Hope your having a lovely week and love to you and yours!

Cotton candy.Cotton time

It's a miracle, but i actually feel quite alright today. Another week is almost done and weekend is just right around the corner... it's moving very quickly~yet again. I'm sorry that it has been pretty quiet around here the whole week. Not because i want it to be, but because i still feel a little under the weather.

I've been thinking quite a bit lately about inspiration which i believe was mainly stimulated by my blogging classes. Where i get it from and how i use it. One of my daily sources of inspiration for me is all the wonderful books and magazines that i read. I have discovered so many fantastic magazines and one of my all times favorite is Cotton Time, one of the most popular Japanese craft magazines. I feel really inspire by this magazine so much so that i want to start a column call "Cotton candy.Cotton time" here on my little bubble space to share with you some highlights featured in the latest issue of Cotton Time magazine. I believe one good magazine most certainly always leads to another inspiring idea and creativity. Truly inspiring. Who knew, right?

Cotton time is filled with tons of great sewing projects and zakka projects. Yes, lots of cuteness and many wonderful ideas and inspiration to discover in each issue. I believe mill design studio plays a part in the design of this magazine. It is only produced bi-montly. The latest Cotton Time issue is filled with the cutest patchwork and quilt projects. It also featured mostly studios that are very impressive and cozy. I simply have to share some gorgeous eye candy to entice you.
