Birthdays are lots of fun.
Thank you so much for all the overwhelmingly sweet birthday wishes. You guys are too sweet. I had such a fantastic day, well, actually, i got to celebrate for nearly the whole weekend. Thanks to my birthday falling so close to the holiday weekend.
The photos pretty much tell the story, but I have to mention that it involved gorgeous smelling tulips, a delicious handmade Chloe cake from the very talented lovely sweet Kim(!), a lovely dinner party with love ones, sweet gifts, and the beginning of a good tradition which i picked up from my loving papa ~ a little egg thrown in for good measure. Sometimes you just know...when something is going to become tradition. A red egg or two on birthdays was one of those I look forward to repeating every year.
Update : My papa usually have red eggs in the morning of his birthday (December 9) ~ the egg symbolise good luck, roundness (as in complete happiness) and a sign of fertility/prosperity and red because the color red is a sign of happiness in Chinese culture.
It was great fun and just the kind of celebration I like best. Not a bad birthday weekend at all.
Have fun out there! More soon on my craftiness side...i am sure some of you would be eager to know what i have been up to lately with my new creations in this wonderful new year. Have a wonderful merry happy week and lots of love to you and yours!
What beautiful professional pictures . . sounds like you had an ideal birthday. I've never heard of getting an egg on your birthday . . what's the meaning behind that? I guess we were all eggs in the beginning?? Oh, silliness!
Happy Monday Jacqueline! : )

Glad that you had a great birthday celebration. It has been a long time since I had red eggs for birthday. :)
I love the shot of the tulips since it is also my favourite flower.

Red Tulips! Those are the flowers I chose for my mum when I was 3 and my sister was just born!

Already itching for spring with those tulips. I hope they are continuing to bring you joy. My birthday always lasts at least a week. Even if my husband doesn't like it1

Wow, I learn something new everyday! What happens if you don't like eggs, is there a substitution? I am not a fan of eggs, I hope that doesn't mean I'm destined for bad luck! ;)
I'm glad you had a very Happy Birthday, and here's to a wonderful year! Hugs!
