It has been what i would call a very good week so far. I have the free time that exists during my little break from day job. I mostly just stayed in and worked on sewing projects.
Lately, Kim and i have been doing this cooking game plan for fast and easy meals on weekdays where one of us is completely responsible for preparing dinner. It was the mister's idea to cook up a fast and simple delicious meal with a creative twist on weekdays from the help of "Personal trainer: Cooking" game in our Nintendo DS console. A game that brings gourmet cooking with 245 plus recipes from more than 30 countries worldwide. I was into the idea and the rest is history. For the last two weeks, each of us accepted the "challenge". It's been quite a treat.
Thank you kindly to each of you for all the kindness about the mister's new indoor flip flop. Your words mean a lot to me. I'm going to drink tea and enjoy the last bits of my break. Have a colorful merry happy Wednesday! Love to you and yours.
oh, what a fun idea...and so exciting...really great...wish you a lovley sunny creative break from the normal work and send you abig hug...cheers...i

Hi Jacqueline, what a fun idea! This post brought a smile to my face. What recipes have you tried so far? I think I need this game! I'm such a hopeless cook. Unfortunately I misplaced my DS somewhere :( Have a lovely break...!!

What a great idea!! Around my house cooking each night can become a bit of a chore, what a great way to make it fun again with a game! So special that your mister is also into cooking. Mine is too and that saves me on those nights when I just don't feel up to it! xo

Dear Wini, i wish i took photos of all the dishes we made so far. But by the time i am home from day job, it was dark and no natural light to take god photos.
We have tired some of the following dishes:
1. Japan ~ ginger pork with sake sauce, braised beef and vegies.
2. France ~ steak with herb butter
3. Germany ~ german potatoe salad, bacon and potatoe soup, potatoe gratin
4. China ~ egg foo young, kung pao chicken, pot stickers
Love to you.
