It took some time, but I'm finally getting around to show you another project. Yipee, i knocked off one item on my scary-to-do list.
As i was organizing my supplies, i found these cute walnuts shells that i collected a while back on my first christmas vacation to visit the mister and his family {Hamburg, Germany}. I wasn't sure which project to use them with so i kept them aside and has forgotten about them. I think it's about time i made them into something useful and adorable. In the end i decided to make these little ornaments because they would look so adorable on a tree and when christmas is over, they could be use as key-chains or decorations or even as pincushions.
I had some cross-stitch fabric i really wanted to use and i just went with it. And it's funny, i had forgotten how fun it was to work on some cross-stitches. Good times in the little studio. I'm quite smitten with how they turned out, especially the fact that they look puffy. Cute, eh? Perfect for some holiday cheer. I would love some feedback on these little ornaments. No pressure, though.
Hope you have a great weekend.
I'm looking forward to tackle some of the projects on my scary-to-do list, make some comfort food and of course, a bit of lounging. At least those are a few things I hope to do.
Love to you and yours!.
The walnuts are fantastic!!! Beautiful photography too! ♥

These are fab and I'm smiling that they came from Germany. Germans are big into natural decorations at the holidays, so this is a perfect twist on the traditional walnut ornament!! Your friend, tj

Hi Jacqueline! Oh my goodness, I love those. They are so stinkin' cute and they remind me of mini cupcakes, chocolate with vanilla icing! MMmmmmm... The cross-stitching on top makes them even cuter..
Hope you are doing well and keep going on that scary list! Doesn't it feel good to cross things off a big list like that!?!?

oh! Oh! OH ~ Jacqueline! Those walnut ornaments are some of the most creative & cute little goodies I've seen in a long time. I especially love the cross-stitched initials on top. I can even imagine one made with a tiny menorah on it for people like me who celebrate a different holiday this time of year!

Cute little ornaments! Those cross-stitch designs will really pop off the decorated tree. I love it when you collect something for a future project, and then the right idea comes along.
