It happened. I never know from year to year when it's going to happen but today was the day. While i visited one of the mall for some weekend grocery, i smelled the celebration of Christmas in the air, every shop was decorated with gorgeous white, red and green, Christmas tunes and tress were popping every corner i turned. It was most definitely the smell of the holiday season. And with it came my usual excitement about the approaching of Christmas. It made me grin as i walked. What a wonderful time of the year it is. It always is.
Throughout my childhood during the holiday season, my nanny always had the most amazing full Christmas tree. I remember how that tree made her whole living room look so warm and cozy. I loved helping her with Christmas homemade goodies and decorations. And in return, i always received a new cute handmade dress for my cabbage patch kid as my Christmas gift. I miss those wonderful times quite a bit.
Now would be a good time to say thank you for reading all these years, and of course for every one of the kind comments you've taken the time to send my way. I'm planning a little giveaway soon.
I've also managed to hunt down walnuts in shells and more are coming my way in the mail ~ thanks for your overwhelming generosity, Flora. I've also made more walnuts cuteness! These would make a nifty handmade holiday gift, if I do say so myself. I dropped some walnuts loveliness off at my shop today, if you happen to want some pronto.
Happy December and stay warm out there! Happy warm cheers to you and yours!
These are so sweet! You always think of such fun craft ideas. Have a lovely weekend!

I saw these in your shop last night while I was browsing through it...love these, they are so cute! It doesn't matter how old I get, I always feel a little like a kid again at Christmas time...my mom still spoils me and my sister rotten with presents under the tree, I don't think she will ever stop and I will be 34 next month. I have a feeling I am going to be the same way with my kids! Have a lovely weekend and much love to you!!

I love that smell of the celebration of Christmas in the air. Not sure what the first trigger is, but it is definitely exciting. It's wonderful to smell the pine of Christmas trees and wreaths, and to see the first snowfalls, making everything look bright and cheery.

Hi, Jacqueline! You happy Christmas spirit is infectious! And such fun you've made more walnuts. Love all the embroidery you've been doing lately. Wonderful catch up on your recent post--you've been busy! We're just back from our Thanksgiving trip to the US. Now getting over the get lag and crash course in making ready for Christmas... I feel so behind already... LOL! Happy Days ((LOVE & HUGS))

Bonjour Jacqueline!
They are so adorable! I like the way you also took the picture ( and I also know how it can be tricky sometimes...!).
This year, I have the hardest time to get into the Xmas spirit. Maybe because my grand mother is not part of it anymore. Strange and sad. My girls are all about Xmas and I am fighting it , saying "we have time for decorating..." Plus it was Thanksgiving only a week ago !! I need time to relax & breath in between those two!!!
Anyway, your little nuts are very sweet!

What a sweet story! I can sometimes be a bit of a bah humbug when the holiday madness begins, so I appreciate your reminder that it's really all about celebrating with the people that you love and enjoying traditions and homemade goodness!
