made it to its destination just in time for Charlotte's shower this coming New Year weekend.
After a few days of hunched shoulders, i finally completed my first fabric photo frame. A special order from a special customer in honor of Baby Charlotte's first month out in the world. I whipped up a little (actually it's not so little) fabric photo frame for her ~ a memory photo frame that has 12 pockets made from clear vinly (1 for each month). I can hardly wait to hear how Baby Charlotte's mama and papa like it.
As with any first time project, there was a learning curve and some uncertainty at times. There is definitely a bit of wonkiness here and there, but i actually really love those parts. The best part though is completing a project knowing that is sure to become an heirloom.
Hope your Christmas holiday was warm and merry. I stayed close to home and sew (what a craft geek), and took plenty of naps as i was still down with that weird flu bug.
With a little discipline, i have big plans to get several new items photographed and add to the shop in the very near future (like early next couple of weeks?).
Stay warm and bring in the new year with a bang!
Holiday cheers to you and yours!
This is so sweet and pretty ! :))
Hoped that you will recover soon, get rid of that nasty flu bug soon!
Take and lots of love to you!
Charlene

What a cool project! Such a great way for parents to display the first year of their newborn babe. And then they can interchange the photos throughout the years.

What a beautiful fabric photo frame - no signs of wonkiness can I see! Although you're right, those hand-made wonky bits always make the gift seem more precious don't you think? Hope you had a lovely Christmas - I'm sorry to hear you were sick - wishing you a speedy recovery. Have a super dooper new year Jacqueline and love to you and your family,
Allison xx
