This week passed quick, and hooray to weekend! All i needed was some warmth and sunshine, and today is brimming with both. A good start to the weekend indeed.

As promised in my new series "Corners of my creative space", i wanted to share a few of photos of my little studio space with you this week. A little cozy place for all my whimsical packaging goodies and my little lavender plant. 

All the bits of color around my little packaging corner. A collection of shabby chic trays, boxes and table top display with drawers to store my business tags, name cards, vintage paper tags, dollies, stamps, handmade/handprinted "SoCuteItHurts" reusable muslin drawstring bags and whimsical packaging materials/supplies.

I always have fun stopping to take a look around my space. I like color, and i'm noticing i really like white, pink and red color scheme, especially around/in my creative space.

I adore my new addition to my growing tray collection : french rustic tray! In case you are curious, this tray is custom made by my talented sweet friend, Pei Li. Thank you so much lovely friend! I filled up my little basket with pretty packaging tapes. I'm as pleased as Punch!

Hint of "Spring" is starting to pop up. I made a trip to the nursery last weekend and left with an adorable lavender plant. Not sure how long this little one will last because yours truly is just not a very good plant keeper.

• A rally to demand changes in Malaysia's electoral system is happening at the heart of Kuala Lumpur (i pray for the safety of everyone) and

• I have some projects i'm ready to tackle. Starting my new collaboration project with sweet talented friend, Pei Li, i've got a half-completed logo making that needs some serious attention, and making a new weekend tote in refreshing new design inspired by my Marylinn weekend tote.

I'm going to spend it with my nose in Samantha Cotterill's new book, Fanciful Felties from mummysam. I had certainly seen it around a lot before i was fortunate enough to get my paws on a copy. I know i'm gonna bookmarke several future projects i want to give a whirl as soon as i find the time ~ not sure when that will be.

There is a chance i'll break to craft some ~ perhaps i'll have enough time to complete at least one of the many sweet projects featured in this book ~ and maybe a movie. I'm dying to see A Christmas Carol.

Happy monday

Hope your weekend was lovely. it was really warm here and although i meant to get out and run more errands, i mostly just stayed in and worked on my projects in my little studio. I didn't finish everything i set out to accomplish but overall the weekend was a success.

Some of the highlights include:

I'm such a flower nerd that i rewarded myself with a new bouquet of fresh flowers. They really cheer me up.

I haven't gotten enough done. The main parts of the wearable project of bears and sheep were cut out in orders, so that's something i suppose.

I made a jug of refreshing Shari's spa water~ so fresh and truly yummie!

I managed to score some nifty heart-shaped ceramics on a quick trip to the one of my favorite thrift store. I always love it when that happens.

Honestly, it's been nice to also watch a couple of old movies of this and that, and just relax a bit. And call me crazy, but i'm thinking and looking forward to Christmas. I even throw in a couple of christmas songs while working at my little studio ~ so maybe I'm losing it.

I'll be knocking on your little bubble space soon ~ i promised. I'm having an unfortunate food poisoning situation here ~ but everything is under control with some medication and very long naps. Have yourself a beautiful week! I'll be back soon. Love to you and yours always!

living life as if it matters...

This cute illustration is done by my love, Kim. The sentiment behind this piece is LOVE (that is the Chinese character for it). It is the first time that i showcase his art work here and i hope you enjoy it as much as i love it.

Yesterday night, as i settled myself down at my workspace to continue work on my very first special piece of toddler blouse (yes im supper excited about it), there it was, the "Revolutionary Road" dvd passed on to me from one of my best girl, Alice. I picked it up and said to myself "Maybe tonight is a good time to watch it".... and so i did.

*Deep breath*

It was as many might have already know, a good and very inspirational story. A couple of the quotes from the movie still linger on my fingertips. I couldn't help myself but to think of each and every one of you out there living life and living your dream like it matters most. It does take real guts to try to do something in your life that matters to you and for that i salute each and every one of you! You have as i might have already said before, in many ways inspired me to stop and think for a LONG minute...what matters, what passion, what values, what love, what joy and inspiration i have in me to want to be a part of this creative world. And for all that and more, i am grateful and thankful for everything you have send my way! It is true, if i don't give it a try at anything, i can't fail. And i know all of us, im sure, just happen to think that people are better off doing the things they actually love.

If someone out there happens to stumble upon this, who's still thinking, wanting and craving...i hope, i wish and i pray you find your way here to this wonderful creative world.
